Uses of Protective M 15 Gas Mask

A gas mask protects the face, eyes, and respiratory organs of the person from harmful impurities in the air, such as vapors, gases, and aerosols. Gas masks can be classified according to their protection method.  Gas masks are highly effective in reducing the effect of air pollution on our bodies and help us to stay healthy and sound.

This filter is scientifically designed to filter contaminated air before it enters the body. It has different layers of filters that process air in a certain way and are made fresh to breathe. These include filtering masks that decontaminate or filter harmful impurities from air and oxygen masks that completely isolate the respiratory system from the surrounding environment. Special m 15 gas mask is also used to protect military personnel from chemical attacks.

Multilayered gauze bandages, soaked in special solutions to protect against chlorine and phosgene, were the first filter gas masks. They weren't effective against other toxic substances. Russian chemist, Vladimir Levchenko, created the first dry-filtering gas mask using activated charcoal and rubber.

The Russian and Allied armies adopted this gas mask in 1916. In other countries' armies, dry gas masks were soon available. The modern filtering gas mask is composed of a canister and a helmet. The canister is inhaled and the contaminated air is removed. The aerosol filter removes aerosols, while the activated charcoal layer removes gases and vapors.
